The company said it needs the additional square footage to support expansion of its consumer electronics and major appliance parts business, as well as its growing supply-chain management offering. Encompass provides end-to-end parts logistics and distribution for a number of major consumer brands. The new space will also be used to support third-party logistics services for a global consumer electronics brand, the company said. The Ft. Lauderdale location comprises a distribution facility as well as purchasing, information technology, customer support and other administrative functions. The site is also Encompass's main distribution point for parts supply to Latin America.
