"Across all levels of seniority we have seen demand grow for high quality procurement professionals over the past year, with those with IT procurement experience being particularly highly sought after," said Sam Walters, associate director at Robert Walters.
"While confidence remains high among employers, there is still a sense that delivering cost efficiency is a high priority, driving demand for procurement specialists," he said. "As employers compete over a relatively small talent pool, we have seen salaries driven up."
Meanwhile, salaries for supply chain professionals are expected to increase by 4 percent on average, though for mid-level positions the rise will be 15 percent.
