Oracle Corp. has made generally available new trade promotions-management software, part of its JD Edwards EnterpriseOne suite. The application has been integrated with Oracle's Demantra software for demand management. In the process, version 8.12 of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne has been linked to Demantra 7.2, allowing consumer-goods companies to monitor and control trade spending, validate compliance and improve the return on investment of promotional funds. Users also get increased visibility into the impact of promotions on supply-chain costs, constraints and performance. EnterpriseOne has been integrated with multiple modules of Oracle's Demantra software, including Predictive Trade Planning, Trade Promotion Optimization, and Deduction and Settlement Management. According to Oracle, customers obtain a better understanding of the impact of promotions on supply-chain costs and constraints in order to optimize supply-chain performance.
