Version 12.1 of the Oracle E-Business Suite is now generally available from Oracle Corp. The latest release features enhancements of applications for supply-chain management, procurement, projects, master data management, customer relationship management, financials and human resources. In addition, Oracle is offering new functionality for specific industries, including consumer goods, wholesale distribution, retail, public sector, engineering and construction, and high technology. Version 12.1 contains a number of standalone applications that complement the existing environments of E-business Suite 11i and Release 12. In addition, the release provides integrated analytics from Oracle Business Intelligence applications, pre-built tools that give users insight into key business processes. A new product called Oracle Landed Cost Management reveals extended supply-chain costs. For retail businesses, Oracle has developed Product Information Management for Retail, which centralizes product data from heterogeneous systems into a single view, which can be deployed across all departments. An Oracle Site Hub helps companies to centralize information, eliminating many of the problems associated with fragmented and inconsistent site data that might arise from rapid business expansion, or mergers and acquisitions.
