Oracle Corp. has integrated its JD Edwards EnterpriseOne application with Primavera Contract Management. The JD Edwards tool is an enterprise resource planning system aimed at mid-sized companies. Oracle's Primavera Contract Management aids in the administration of documents, job costing and field controls for the engineering, construction and oil and gas industries. According to Oracle, the integration will help companies to achieve end-to-end job costing, while adhering to best practices for budgeting, subcontract management, change management, issues management and payment expediting. In addition, the vendor said, it will help to eliminate inconsistencies in project-related reporting from financial and project management, by providing a "single source of truth," and eliminating redundant data entry. Features of the integration include new change- and issue-management capabilities; role-based participation, allowing users to deploy the application in line with their specific roles within the organization; and a global business platform to aid in the standardization and simplification of project management.
