Associated Global Systems, a provider of transportation and logistics services, has created the AGS Turnkey Distribution Network. The new service provides AGS customers with access to more than 100 fully staffed distribution centers and depots around the country, often on less than 48 hours' notice. Eight of the centers will be open around the clock to meet urgent customer needs for space and inventory control. Customers can use the centers for regional distribution of product, inventorying of spare parts, as a return depot, or for order fulfillment. In any case, AGS said, users pay only for the space and logistical services they actually use. AGS's technology experts will customize the provider's inventory software to individual customer specifications, providing real-time information via the company's customer website, MyAGS.com.
