Associated Global Systems, a transportation and logistics service provider, has introduced AGS Import Advantage, a menu of services designed to help importers move products from overseas suppliers direct to the factory or customer's door anywhere in the U.S. The service integrates every aspect of the import supply chain, from tracking of purchase orders to pickup at origin and delivery to final destination in the U.S., the company said. Shippers are quoted rates for land, air and sea from more than 205 countries. AGS offers door-to-door service in partnership with overseas affiliates. At point of origin, it ensures that all paperwork is in order, including the data elements required under the new 10+2 rule of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The document is then transmitted to AGS in the U.S., helping to avoid Customs bottlenecks and speed clearance, the company said. As part of the services offered under AGS Import Advantage, AGS representatives will visit importers' overseas suppliers, to ensure that packing and other requirements are in order. Importers also receive exact sailing schedules or the flight number for air shipments. Upon a shipment's arrival in the U.S., AGS can handle all Customs clearance. The company also offers a domestic network for moving products directly to the end-customer by any mode of transport.
