Datalogic Scanning Inc. has released the QuickScan L barcode scanner. The unit offers laser-scanning technology at an entry-level price, the company said. It is designed for general-purpose users who prefer laser-scanning capability and need to read barcodes at instinctive distances. The lightweight QuickScan L features an ergonomic, gun-shaped design, user-replaceable window and "plug-and-play" kits for ease of purchase, selling and installation. It can read a wide range of 1D codes as well as GS1 DataBar codes. In addition, it bears an IP42 rating for sealing against liquids and dust. Datalogic Scanning is a division of the Datalogic Group, which serves multiple industries throughout the retail supply chain and distribution channel.
