Customer delivery experience management has become an essential piece of the e-commerce landscape, as shoppers demand more visibility and consistent communication across the journey of their packages. A new logistics software tool is aiming to solve this challenge for shippers by enabling real-time shipment notifications across key milestones from order to delivery, as well as delivery exceptions.
Alerting — the latest addition to a suite of logistics optimization products from software provider Enveyo — receives data from shippers and carriers to notify customers about their order status in real time. The platform takes in data from applications like order management (OMS), transportation management (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), warehouse management (WMS), shopping carts, carrier systems and more.
“We consistently see that consumers demand visibility,” says Coby Nilsson, co-founder and chief executive officer of Enveyo, in a statement. “From the moment the purchase is made to the moment the doorbell rings, consumers want transparency. Delivery transparency and interaction with customers increases trust and brand loyalty.”
Shipment lifecycle reporting from Alerting also shows brands their strengths, weaknesses and blindspots, to help optimize operations and improve future shipping.
“Data collection and management is an ongoing challenge for shippers,” says Enveyo co-founder and chief technology officer John Errebo. “We’re on a mission to help organizations leverage that data and technology to drive business-transforming shipping decisions.”
