Dematic, the seller of logistics automation systems, has released the latest version of its Director IT software suite. Director IT is an integrated, modular set of software and controls for managing material and information flow in the warehouse, production environment or distribution center. It offers seamless integration to warehouse-management and enterprise resource planning systems. The suite consists of five modules. Sort Director optimizes carton routing and sorting for strategic control of routing and sortation. Pick Director is the engine behind the company's voice and light order-picking systems. Staging Director controls and optimizes material flow across unit-load transport and storage technologies in automated material-handling systems. System Management provides graphical representation of the entire material-handling system, with access to real-time system status and monitoring information. Performance Manager is a business intelligence tool, which reports on key performance indicators, displaying them in a user-configurable dashboard. The information can be used at the corporate level across all of a customer's distribution centers. Dematic has operations in 22 countries.
