Continental Mills, a national leader in the retail baking mix industry, has awarded a multi-year contract to C.H. Robinson Worldwide, through its Transportation Management Center. After a thorough selection process, TMC was selected to centrally manage all of Continental Mills' North American freight. C.H. Robinson, a non-asset based third-party logistics company provides global multimodal transportation services and logistics solutions.
"TMCs ability to offer a flexible menu of solutions that fit Continental Mills' strategy was a key point of differentiation for our selection team," says Eric Pettersen, transportation manager for Continental Mills.
TMC will provide technology and transportation experts for Continental Mills' North American inbound and outbound freight network. Continental Mills will retain carrier selection and rate negotiation using TMC's planning, execution, and business tools to enhance their control and capabilities.
