OSIsoft, Inc. has taken full control of its operations in Europe, represented by OSI Software GmbH. The company has acquired the remaining shares of the operation. The new wholly owned subsidiary, under the name OSIsoft Europe GmbH, will continue the company's focus on sales, customer support and customer service. OSIsoft sells the PI System, infrastructure software for managing real-time data and events. The acquisition comes after 20 years of doing business in Europe through the OSI Software joint venture. The deal consolidates corporate operations around the world and positions the company to seamlessly support its European customers, OSIsoft said. Its Enterprise Agreement program streamlines software licensing and allows companies to bring real-time business data to their employees. OSIsoft said it plans additional investments to expand capabilities within other regions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Engineering activities will be maintained and integrated into existing OSIsoft development operations at other locations.
