NLM, a third-party logistics provider, has begun offering truckload brokerage as part of its suite of transportation services. The new unit is providing shipment management from initial setup through invoicing, utilizing both standard and specialized equipment, including flatbeds, drop-decks and curtain-sides. The company said it would draw on its network of qualified carriers to provide customers with access to flexible truckload capacity and competitive rates. The move is NLM's latest step in expanding its services into the handling of non-critical shipments. Truckload brokerage will be provided under the brand of OnPoint Dynamic shipment-management services, offered through the company's AllWays On Command Center. NLM acts as a logistics provider for multiple industries, including automotive, aerospace, chemicals, oil, construction, healthcare, pharmaceutical, technology and utilities. On-site management activities include inventory control and compliance, and subassembly.
