The Women in Trucking Association (WIT) has opened up nominations for its Image Team Class of 2026, who will act as advocates for the industry and help showcase female drivers.
According to a January 5 release from the WIT, nominations will be open through February 6, 2026. Once chosen, members of the Image Team will participate in media interviews, attend community and industry events, provide educational outreach, and offer ride-alongs.
"Drivers are the heartbeat of our industry, and WIT’s Image Team highlights how rewarding a career behind the wheel can be," said WIT president Jennifer Hedrick. "We are excited to showcase women who are passionate about their careers, confident in sharing their stories, and committed to supporting and elevating others across the trucking profession."
Nominations must come from a current employer or supervisor who can vouch for a driver's participation and time-commitment. Owner-operators can also self-nominate. In order to be eligible, a driver must be a current CDL-holder actively working in the industry with a clean safety record, and must be comfortable with public speaking and media engagement. Nominees must also demonstrate professionalism, and be willing to engage on social media.
Finalists will be interviewed in February. The WIT will then announce 2026's Image Team selections at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 27, 2026.
