The Distributed Order Management (DOM) application from Manhattan Associates, Inc. will now feature certified integration with the WebSphere Commerce tool from IBM. Part of Manhattan's Order Lifecycle Management suite within the SCOPE portfolio, DOM allows for the filling of orders from multiple inventory channels. It also enables the buying of products online with pickup in stores, the shipping of online orders from stores, and the orchestrating of vendor-drop shipments. According to Manhattan, the integration with WebSphere Commerce gives retailers a complete offering of cross-channel software, which can be applied to extended supply networks, including distribution centers, stores and drop-ship vendors. DOM is also certified for the IBM Retail Integration Framework, which relies on open standards to enable communications between services, information sources and business processes. In the process, the vendor said, the store and retail entity become "one seamless landscape rather than disconnected islands." The integration allows DOM to provide Web customers or call-center agents with a complete view of all available inventory for real-time order promising and order reservation. DOM is fully integrated with the entire Manhattan Associates SCOPE portfolio, providing real-time integration with such applications as Warehouse Management, Extended Enterprise Management and Transportation Planning & Execution.
