Estes Express Lines, a North American less-than-truckload carrier, has expanded its Mexico service with the launching of a local third-party logistics subsidiary, Estes Logistica. Estes has been serving all major commercial markets within Mexico since 2003. The creation of Estes Logistica allows the company to offer a complete set of services for freight consolidation and transportation to and from virtually every point in the country. According to Estes, customers will now have seamless door-to-door service between Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, in addition to border-to-border service. Estes also offers logistics coordination for intra-Mexico freight, helping shippers to save on border and brokerage fees while gaining visibility of their freight from origin to destination. With the latest service expansion, Estes has set up representation in Mexico at key locations in Monterrey and Mexico City. A border-crossing team, located at the main gateway for interior Mexico in Laredo, TX, can work with any broker designated by the shipper. Estes also does business at all major border-crossing points between the U.S. and Mexico.
