C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc. has launched a company in Europe devoted to produce sourcing. C.H. Robinson Sourcing SAS is located in Avignon, France. The venture is part of the company's effort to set up an international produce-sourcing network, according to senior vice president Jim Lemke. It will focus on the global trading of fresh produce, drawing on sources in France, Italy and Spain for sale to North America, South America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The company will help customers to source quality products while integrating logistics, distribution and information-reporting services. Charles Pantagene will manage the new company's operations, along with Michelle Vieira-Coelha. C.H. Robinson serves more than 32,000 customers with a network of 233 offices and 7,300 employees around the world.
