Sales reps need access to customer data while in the field, but they don't need access to the entire database -- they're best served by a system that is streamlined for their purposes. Also, it's important that the data be properly secured against theft or loss. And it's critical that a mobile customer relationship management system functions well as part of the overall CRM system. Fragmentation means failure.
