Apptricity Corp. has debuted its new Graphical Tracking System (AGATS) to meet the needs of military deployments, logistics planning and departmental asset tracking. The product provides a graphical view of high-value asset positioning, using tools such as Google Earth. It is designed for the tracking and tracing of military and government assets for fleet, convoy and flight-equipment applications. It features a touch screen such as those found in smart phones like the iPhone and BlackBerry Storm. The screen offers a high degree of detail to enable immediate visual identification. Related form elements are mapped in proximity, reducing travel time and the execution of basic task relationships, such as the processing of specific movement requests, the search for current flight data and approval of multiple mission or fleet-related tasks. The result, claimed Apptricity, is an accelerated workflow for experienced users and a reduction in the time required to train novices on any of the vendor's government and military applications. Apptricity's hosted applications are used to automate financial management, advanced logistics, supply-chain and workforce management.
