Staples Inc. has created a new "green" catalog of office products for all Staples Advantage business-to-business customers. The 2010 Green Guide features more than 1,100 products from Staples' EcoEasy assortment, ranging from paper and toner to furniture accessories, technology and facility supplies. The update contains 70 percent more products, including notebooks and pads made from 80-percent sugarcane waste; the Verdesol Chair, featuring fabric made from 100-percent recycled plastic bottles, and the Bamboo Flash drive. Other features for enabling green procurement compliance include keyboard and item number search functionality; the ability to bookmark pages and create, print and e-mail office supply "wish lists"; and click-to-buy functionality, allowing employees to submit requests to approved purchasers for ordering on Staples' dedicated e-procurement sites for business-to-business customers.
