A hacking incident at Yahoo now threatens to derail a sale to Verizon. WikiLeaks' releases of Democratic officials' hacked private emails are providing near-endless fodder for Donald Trump's presidential campaign. And yet, while large numbers of Americans appreciate the threat of getting hacked, they don't seem to be changing their behaviors in any appreciable way.

U.K., China Clear Unlimited Cargo Flights

An agreement this month to remove limits on the number of cargo flights between the United Kingdom and China is an encouraging signal that post-Brexit policy makers are serious about exploring, or expanding, trade routes outside of the Euro zone, said the U.K.'s Transport Minister Chris Grayling. In addition to unlimited cargo flights, the number of permitted passenger flights under the agreement will be raised from 40 to 100 per week.

DB Schenker, Lufthansa Reportedly Halfway to 2020 Emissions Reduction Target

A five-year plan from Lufthansa Cargo and logistics provider DB Schenker to reduce carbon dioxide emissions is on track to meet its goal of reducing 20,000 tonnes of CO2 output by 2020, both companies say. To date, Lufthansa and Schenker have reduced their CO2 output by more than 10,000 tonnes, combined, under their joint Carbon Reduction Agreement.

Pitney Bowes Survey Finds Majority of Global Consumers Shop Cross Border

More than two-thirds of consumers who have ever made a domestic online purchase have also made an online purchase from another country in the past year, according to an annual online shopping survey by Pitney Bowes, an e-commerce technology company. Singapore (89 percent), Australia (86 percent) and Hong Kong (85 percent) have the highest number of cross-border shoppers, while countries like Japan (34 percent) and the U.S. (45 percent) are still growing in cross-border confidence.
