The service is aimed at U.S.-based retailers, brands and electronic-commerce merchants. Newgistics has partnered with Landmark Global for the latter's brokerage services, logistics capabilities and longtime partnership with Canada Post. The aim, said the vendor, is to improve service to Canadian customers when they are purchasing U.S. goods online or via catalog. Newgistics said its technology platform simplifies the act of shipping to Canada, in areas such as duties on deliveries, taxes, receiving returns and clearing through customs. Seamless electronic clearance provides documentation to customs before the shipment reaches the border. Newgistics is also offering prepaid return shipping labels and door-to-door tracking visibility, enabled by the Newgistics Shipment Manager.
