Located near the main route to the airport, the new operation incorporates a document-storage and archiving facility. The company will provide full off-site document storage and management, including archiving, retrieval, transportation and secure destruction. The offering is geared toward companies for whom properly managed remote document storage is now a legal requirement, FPS Lanka said. Additional services being provided at the new site include labeling, packing, storage, inventory management and nationwide distribution. All activities in the Projects FPS facility are controlled by a custom-designed warehouse data-management system, which will allow customers to view their goods inventory or document movement histories online. The facility also offers a broad range of handling equipment and specially designed racking systems, the company said.
