SmartMRO, a third-party integrated services management solutions provider, has commenced operations in Ann Arbor, Mich., as part of a strategic and financial partnership between Youngstown, Ohio-based Forge Industries and TrackSpeed LLC, also of Ann Arbor. SmartMRO assists clients by evaluating and managing all components of the supply chain.
"We launched this company because of an existing need with large manufacturers to improve and better control their supply chain, logistics and warehousing processes," says SmartMRO managing partner and founder Brent David Ray. "SmartMRO is unlike any other process improvement company, in that we address critical gaps in the supply chain that industrial distributors, integrated supply firms and indirect material managers have failed to resolve."
The company's service offerings include supply chain management consulting, procurement and vendor evaluation services, low-cost country sourcing, on-site supervision and staffing and software development. A wide range of technology offerings is also available such as modules in procurement and inventory management, warranty and repairable assets, controlled access, enterprise component sharing, and excess and obsolete asset disposition.
