During the summer, freight forwarders will have nonstop access to four U.S. gateway cities out of Ireland, with connections throughout and beyond the U.S. and Latin America. From Dublin, the carrier will fly nonstop to Chicago, Charlotte, Philadelphia and New York JFK. From Shannon, American offers direct service to Philadelphia. With morning departures out of Dublin and Shannon, shipments moving out of Ireland will arrive in the U.S. before early afternoon on the same working day. In another company announcement, American has launched nonstop service between Los Angeles International Airport and Auckland, New Zealand. The move brings the carrier’s capacity on the route to nearly 68,000 cubic feet of cargo per week. L.A. to Auckland is part of American’s new intercontinental route plan, utilizing the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner as part of a plan to open six new transpacific routes over the last three years.
