Vanguard Voice Systems, Inc. is now providing voice capability to the Co-Star Mobile terminal emulator of Clearview Software International, Inc. The partnership enables a range of automated voice-powered functions for mobile field services, field sales, mobile inspections, mobile task management and warehouse management system (WMS) applications. Clearview's Co-Star Mobile, incorporating Vanguard's AccuSpeech Mobile voice technology, is available for mobile applications using terminal emulations designated as TN5250, VT100, VT200 and TN3270. AccuSpeechMobile software can be added to existing mobile data-collection applications. Non-proprietary and device-independent, it can voice-enable any existing host-, Web- or device-resident application throughout a company, the vendor said. The new voice-enabled Co-Star Mobile includes voice input confirmation (VIC) for additional data-collection accuracy, along with a client-resident, automated translation and voice feature, which eliminates the need for host-dependent voice functions. Co-Star Mobile also features voice capabilities free of any voice-training requirements.
