ALK Technologies, Inc. has released the 14th annual update of PC-MILER/FuelTax, its fuel tax-reporting software for motor carriers and private fleets. The tool generates tax rates and forms for all U.S. and Canadian jurisdictions, instantly calculating fuel and mileage taxes, refunds and credits. It also provides state mileage summaries, fleet-performance reports and quarterly updates for compliance with the International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA) and the International Registration Plan (IRP). FuelTax14 includes more than 20 reports summarizing critical data stored in the program, ALK said. It can import data from mobile communications and transportation-management systems, while integrating with other ALK products such as PC-MILER, PC-MILER/Streets and PC-MILER/Tolls. In a related development, ALK has joined with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) in releasing version 22.1 of the Defense Table of Official Distances. The DTOD standardizes surface transportation planning, execution and billing for DOD. It is based on PC-MILER and PC-MILER/Worldwide. DOD provides DTOD routing and mileage information to authorized users over the internet. In conjunction with the release of DTOD 22.1, ALK has issued version 22.1 of PC-MILER and PC-MILER/Worldwide.
