The Global Security Verification Program (GSV) is the name of an initiative based on a technology platform enabled by Intertek Sustainability Solutions. The effort now includes a supply-chain security self-assessment tool, and electronic learning services for foreign manufacturers and suppliers. The capabilities are intended to improve suppliers' understanding of international supply-chain security requirements, and enable review of their readiness to comply with those measures. GSV is a collaborative effort among multiple industries. It provides global importers and their suppliers with the means to implement a single security verification process, leading to improved risk control, process efficiency and cost savings. The initiative focuses on compliance with a number of supply-chain security regulations, including C-TPAT in the U.S., AEO in Europe and PIP in Canada. Participants can draw on consolidated industry data accumulated from nearly 7,000 global verifications, conducted in more than 60 countries.
