"No hidden charges," is a service promise being asked for by business customers and consumers alike during these rough economic times. Optiant, a provider of inventory optimization solutions, says it has incorporated that reality it its latest service offering of pre-defined, fixed-price consulting services for supply chain optimization. Called Optiant Advisor Services, this new class of issue-specific consulting engagements combine Optiant's inventory optimization technology with consulting methodologies to deliver cost savings and rapid inventory reductions. Because the engagements call for well defined inputs, they take just a couple of weeks to conduct, the company says.
The targeted services being offered in this program include: inventory profiling, target setting optimization, product/customer segmentation, postponement strategy, SKU rationalization, sourcing strategy assessment, distribution network optimization and network consolidation.
