Two enterprise resource planning applications of Epicor Software Corp. have received new certifications from Microsoft. Epicor 9 and Epicor iScala 2.3 SR2 have achieved the Works with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 and Compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 certifications. Epicor is a Microsoft Gold Partner and 2009 Microsoft Partner of the Year for Global ISV Line of Business. The Microsoft-based applications feature a number of enhanced capabilities, including new intuitive user interfaces with multi-touch, improved security and reliability features, and management tools aimed at boosting customer productivity and service. Windows Server 2008 R2 adds flexibility for mobile workers with higher security and new virtualization tools. According to Epicor, Windows 7 integration can reduce costs while providing a platform for an efficiently managed data center. The Epicor tool integrates with the latest in Microsoft technologies, such as Live Migration in Hyper-V. Epicor has long utilized a wide variety of core Microsoft technologies, including the .NET framework, Windows Azure Platform, Visual Studio 2008, Silverlight and SQL Server 2008. Epicor also provides software for customer relationship management, supply-chain management and retail operations.
