Shippers, the ultimate customers of the global air cargo supply chain, are being invited to join The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA) free of charge.
The initiative recognizes the importance for air cargo service providers to gain a more complete understanding of the needs of shippers. TIACA says it will provide a forum to shippers to get closer to existing and prospective air logistics partners to exchange ideas, discuss changing needs and challenges, and to develop new business opportunities.
TIACA's free membership offer defines shippers as a manufacturer, wholesaler/distributor, retailer, or the ultimate importer/original exporter.
TIACA plans to approach shippers around the world to ensure it attracts global representation of their views and needs and they will be offered the opportunity to actively participate in its events, starting with its International Air Cargo Forum & Exposition in Amsterdam between November 2-4, 2010. Dedicated shipper presentations will form part of the conference.
