White paper light modules present data in multiple ways, beyond the capabilities of traditional LCD displays, including combinations of numbers, text and barcodes. Lightning Pick introduced duct-based pick to light technology in the U.S. in 1998. The track-lighting style hardware reduces installation costs and is more flexible for system reconfiguration, maintenance and expansion. While cable-free displays are the industry standard today, distributors still desire a means of applying pick to light technology to operations that lack the infrastructure for mounted lights, Lightning Pick said.
