Newgistics Inc., a vendor of small-parcel delivery and returns-management systems, has enhanced its SmartLabel Intelligent Returns Management offering. The company is now offering tiered pricing within the new release of the Ecometry Direct Commerce Suite from Escalate Retail. According to Newgistics, tiered pricing gives direct-to-consumer retailers additional pricing control for customer returns, while drawing on the convenience of the U.S. Postal Service network. Rather than establishing a single, pre-determined price for the use of Newgistics' SmartLabel, merchants can create multiple price points based on the characteristics of the return shipment. In the process, they can provide levels of service that previously required custom development efforts. Newgistics' partnership with Escalate Retail spans nearly eight years. SmartLabel is the only returns-management offering to be integrated into the Ecometry platform, according to Bill Razzoul, president and chief executive officer of Newgistics.
