The International Maritime Organization's Marine Environment Protection Committee has reached agreement on the entry into force date of new, stricter requirements for ships' emission of nitrogen oxide (NOx) in emission control area.

As part of a 10-year effort to improve technology in the safety inspection arena, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration announced it will be coordinating a field test to see if wireless technology can be used to conduct roadside inspections.

Hamburg Airport has begun construction on its new Hamburg Airport Cargo Center (HACC). Modern facilities on Weg beim Jaeger will replace the existing air cargo center. The new facility will be 60,000 square meters (645,834 square feet) and will open in summer 2015.
