Diplomatic ties between the longstanding rivals are on an upswing at a time when U.S. tariffs have added to economic uncertainties in the world’s two most populous nations.

The violations included interference with safety officials’ independence and “hundreds of quality system violations” at Boeing’s factory in Renton, WA, and at Spirit AeroSystems Holding Inc.’s plant in Wichita, KS.,

The new contract agreed to by the union on September 10 would raise wages by 45%, although additional terms have yet to be released.

Unusual Machines saw an opportunity to make relatively low-cost drone components, including motors and flight controllers, in the U.S.

The two nations signed agreements spanning sectors from shipping to civil aviation, and plan to collaborate on state-level skill centers to meet industry demand.

In June, a lawyer representing 16 families had called the proposed deal "morally repugnant," asserting that it would allow Boeing to sidestep accountability.

The judges let the levies stay in place while the case proceeds, threatening to freeze corporate investment decisions until the cost of tariffs are clearer. 

Seoul had earlier promised $150 billion to support the U.S. shipbuilding industry as part of its trade deal with Washington.

Boeing has notched only 30 orders with Chinese carriers and leasing companies since the start of 2019.

Airbus said it is not concerned about the strike affecting its year-end delivery schedule, but the union Unite said the strike would disrupt production and delay deliveries.
