Even though U.S. manufacturing outputs grew by 0.1% last month, production levels in August fell by 0.6% year-over-year.

The airline has said it will get just 19 new Airbus SE aircraft in 2023, instead of the 30 it originally expected.

Narrowbody handovers will be near the bottom of Boeing’s goal of shipping 400 to 450 of the popular 737 jets this year, said chief financial officer Brian West.

Half of the $4.1 million will be credited to the airline to provide compensation for the almost 6,000 passengers impacted by the delays.
