LG Energy Solution has tentatively decided to postpone the start of its EV battery plant with Hyundai in Georgia, according to a report from the Korea Economic Daily.

VW is reportedly close to an agreement with the U.S. that would bring tariffs for the company under 15%, in exchange for sizable manufacturing investments in the country. 

Canadian automakers will no longer be required to ensure 20% of new car sales are electric by next year.

Hyundai Motor Company said it was aware of the incident at the HL-GA Battery Company construction site and was "working to understand the specific circumstances."

The effort is aimed at raising capital to support the division’s around €600 million ($660 million) in annual spending.

The halt in production at Jaguar Land Rover is a fresh blow to the firm which recently revealed declining profits attributed to increasing in costs caused by U.S. tariffs.

The judges let the levies stay in place while the case proceeds, threatening to freeze corporate investment decisions until the cost of tariffs are clearer. 

Tesla's European sales fell by nearly 44% year-over-year in the first seven months of 2025, while BYD's sales over that same period jumped 251%.

The UAW is claiming that it won a narrow victory, which will now rely on whether it's successful in challenging 41 ballots that the union claims were "illegitimate and should not be counted."

Kearney's report projects that inventories stockpiled ahead of tariff deadlines are now being depleted, forcing companies to restock at higher prices.
