Truetrac, a company engaged in the management of field and production data for the agricultural industry, has introduced software to help produce companies meet the compliance requirements of the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI). Truetrac's product known as LabelTrac Basic enables companies to meet upcoming PTI milestones, the company said. Offered via a Web interface or on a handheld device for mobile users, LabelTrac Basic includes standard case label templates and also allows the printing of hybrid pallet tags. It features a Web-based interface and connections for up to five remote devices. The vendor is also offering training and additional hardware and accessories, to address custom label configurations and specialized reporting and development. Users of LabelTrac Basic can upgrade to more advanced Truetrac products, including LabelTrac-Pro, HarvestTrac, ItemItrac, AuditTrac and CropTrac. The company's software suite provides an information platform covering all aspects of data connection for the fresh-produce supply chain.
