Changes include a peak-season service guarantee for customers exporting to Asia and Australia/New Zealand. The new services are in response to rapid growth in refrigerated exports to Australasia by Encompass's customer base, according to vice president of sales and marketing Ron Folsom. New reefer services are available at all major U.S. West Coast ports and the Southeast Asian ports of Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Tokyo, Nagoya, Xiamen, Nansha, Kaohsiung, Yokohama, Kobe, Qingdao, Kwangyang, Hakata, Keelung and Da Chan Bay. In Australia and New Zealand, the service covers the ports of Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, Suva, Tauranga, Brisbane, Port Chalmers and Napier. Customers of Encompass have round-the-clock access to a Web portal which provides gate-in and onboard information, as well as destination arrival times.
