ArtSafe creates a logistics hub and storage facility, as well as an exhibit space for the showcasing of artwork by local artists. According to U-Freight, a large portion of the company's logistics center at Singapore's Changi Airport has been converted into a secure, climate-controlled storage area, along with a grand hall for display of artworks. ArtSafe Singapore said it intends to organize a global team of experts to handle art logistics, with participation from companies throughout the U-Freight network. Art logistics services include the movement of fragile, valuable and priceless art pieces to parks, buildings, hotels, museums, art galleries and private collectors around the world. The service will offer museum and galley-standard specialized and custom-designed art packing and crating, insurance cover, temporary import and re-export customs clearance, and air-ride transportation. The main target audience consists of international galleries with a presence in Singapore, as well as auction houses, U-Freight said.
