The effort is part of the company's GOGREEN environmental services program. The DHL Express Envelope was already recyclable; now DHL is offsetting the impact of carbon-dioxide emissions associated with the handling and transport of each envelope, through investments in recognized climate-protection projects. The calculation and offsetting process will be verified annually based on the ISO14064 standard, by the independent auditing company Societe Generale de Surveillance. The service is available from the U.S. to more than 220 countries and territories, DHL said. DHL Express is a division of Deutsche Post DHL.
