The arrangement will enhance local delivery of CargoWise's ediEnterprise suite of applications, the company said. Founded in 2009, Asvinta specializes in providing IT systems and services to the logistics and freight-forwarding sector in Sri Lanka. Asvinta director Roy Balasuriya said the Sri Lankan government has dedicated "significant" resources to developing the country's infrastructure, with an eye toward creating a global logistics hub. EdiEnterprise was built on an on-demand pricing and remote-hosting model. The design removes much of the upfront and management costs associated with the implementation of new software, Balasuriya said. CargoWise is a brand of WiseTechGlobal, an international technology-development company.
