The new facility has increased square footage to allow for future expansion, Penske said. Staffed 24 hours a day by data-center experts, it provides redundancy, security, cooling and power for the company's technology offerings. Capabilities of the technology infrastructure include a disaster-recovery tool. The $8.7m project, started last November, was jointly carried out by the information-technology departments of Penske Logistics and Penske Truck Leasing, parent of the logistics unit. Penske Logistics has operations in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
