The 42-wagon train carried an assortment of Chinese-produced goods, including electronic and other high-tech items. Far East Land Bridge (FELB) specializes in transit container train projects on the Asia-Europe routes and cooperates with various companies such as BMW, LG and Samsung. The partnership of Russian Railways Logistics with other FELB partners aims at the implementation of integrated intermodal logistics services in Asian and European markets and development of the transit potential of the Russian railways.

Within the framework of this fast container train project, Russian Railways Logistics provides freight forwarding, customs clearance, information support and other services related to the provision of transport logistics in the territories of Russia and Belarus along the 7,600km route.

Cooperation with Transport Development Group allowed the first train to proceed through the Russia/China border crossing point in a record time of two hours by way of electronic documents and a new universal software package. It is expected that thanks to this fast registration service this train project will offer a new competitive quality service in terms of cargo delivery time. Based on the estimated cargo volume potential three trains per week are planned to be dispatched in the future.
