Savanna.NET can operate as standalone software or with any automated storage and retrieval system. According to the vendor, the new tool simplifies and controls the entire warehousing process, while reducing the complexity of using various function-specific applications. It provides functionality for receiving, storing and tracking product, as well as marrying inventory to customer orders by way of its integrated order-processing capabilities. Drawing on the WCS elements, it directs either automated material-handling equipment or manual labor to execute work. Inventory tracking utilizes the software’s WMS components.
