Located in the city's Erskine Park, the facility covers 78,000 square meters and can handle both domestic and international shipments. It can process up to 25,000 parcels per hour, and includes more than 30,000 square meters of warehouse space. The site features a high-speed automatic sortation system for "incompatible" items that are in excess of 1.5 meters and 30 kilograms. It also includes automatic pallet-deconsolidation capability. TNT said the new facility is part of a broader investment in other hubs in Melbourne and Brisbane, both of which are due for completion later this year.
