The app was developed in response to customer requests for a means of ensuring that store associates carry out store surveillance policies and comply with shoplifting policies. The app allows retailers to measure consumer conversion rates through real-time visibility of the number of shoppers in stores. It also measures policy compliance by managing response times to alarm events. In the process, Checkpoint said, retailers can deter opportunistic shoplifters and crime activity. Additional features include a staff panic alert to request help from associates; a night-save feature to save power when the store is closed; the ability to test, mute or disable EAS systems remotely, and multi-user logins for each smart device
