Dubbed APL Logistics Oman SAOC, the new initiative will spearhead efforts to develop Oman as a regional logistics hub to serve local and international customers in the Middle East and East Africa, the company said. Headquarters will be in Muscat. Services offered include inbound and production logistics, finished vehicle logistics, multimodal transportation, consolidation, order management, customs brokerage and packaging. Joerg Granzow, APL Logistics' regional leader for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said the company chose Oman "for its strategic location within the region, well-established infrastructure and highly capable workforce."
