Oracle Releases Demand Signal Repository for Consumer Goods Companies

June 25, 2008
Oracle Corp

Oracle Corp. has made available Oracle Demand Signal Repository. The new application, aimed at consumer goods manufacturers, helps users to capture, cleanse and harmonize large volumes of external demand data. It also integrates those demand signals with other applications to make the organization more responsive to market changes. Manufacturers can capture data from a variety of sources, including stores and retail distribution centers. In the process, Oracle said, they can achieve a near-real-time picture of retail store-level sales and inventory management trends. Demand Signal Repository can help users to improve performance in functional areas such as demand planning, trade promotion analysis and optimization, sales and operations planning, retail execution, and product lifecycle management. The product includes out-of-the-box integration with Oracle's Demantra, a demand-management application. Demand Signal Repository is currently available as part of the Oracle Advanced Planning and Scheduling Feature Pack Release 12.1.
