The U.S. Surface Transportation Board (STB) announced October 23 that it had appointed six new members to its Rail Energy Transportation Advisory Committee (RETAC).
Bryan Boaz, Sean Brewer, Sandra Ellis, Leila Ford, Edward Quinn and Robert Zmudka are the new members. They will all serve three-year terms ending in September 2026.
Boaz will be an at-large member of the committee. Ford and Quinn will both serve as shortline railroad representatives. Brewer will be a biofuel representative. Ellis will be a Class I railroad rep. Zmudka will represent the private railcar industry.
“The six new members of RETAC bring to the committee a range of experience in the industries they represent, and we look forward to hearing their perspectives,” said STB chairman Martin Oberman. “I continue to find it essential that the Board bring together varied voices in our stakeholder committees. I look forward to working with these new members to discuss issues related to ensuring the effective and efficient rail transportation of energy resources.”
